Motorhomes, caravans and trailers
Jadrolinija prices by vehicle category first and length second. That single rule explains why a compact camper is charged above a long estate car.

The fare table has ten vehicle groups, and the boundaries between them are not where most drivers expect. Getting this right before you reach the ticket window saves an argument and, occasionally, a real amount of money.
The rule that catches campers
A motorhome of 4.90 m costs €34.40. A car of 5.10 m costs €31.80.
The shorter vehicle costs more, because Jadrolinija decides the category by what the vehicle is before it measures how long it is. Anything registered as a motorhome, caravan or trailer tent goes into the caravan group regardless of size.
There is no way to argue your way out of it at the window, so budget for the category rather than the length.
Cars, and the two limits
The car category has a single boundary, and it is a double one: up to 5.00 m long and 2.00 m high costs €20.70, and crossing either limit costs €31.80.
Height catches people more often than length. A roof box, a roof tent or a raised suspension can push an ordinary estate car over 2.00 m, and the higher band applies even though the vehicle is well under 5.00 m.
Caravans and trailers are charged separately
A caravan is not included in the price of the car towing it. You pay for the car in its own category and for the trailer in the trailer category, and the two add up.
Light luggage trailers have their own scale, starting at €14.10 up to 3.00 m. Full caravans follow the motorhome bands. The complete list is on the fares page.
Two-wheelers
A motorcycle is €8.50 and a bicycle €4.30, with the rider or cyclist paying the €4.40 passenger fare on top. A motorcycle with a sidecar, a trike or a quad is €11.30.
Onward, and the bridge
Getting a large vehicle across the water is straightforward. The constraint appears afterwards: the swing bridge at Osor between Cres and Lošinj carries a 20 t limit.
For a motorhome that is not a concern, since even a large one stays far below it. For anyone moving freight it decides the whole route, because there is no second road to Lošinj. See the Osor bridge page.
